Who we are
Schelde Engine Services is a marine engine service organisation working for shipowners, operators, yards and industrial clients worldwide. We exist for one reason: to get engines running again, properly, wherever they are.
Our work covers the full life of an engine — commissioning a new installation, keeping it in condition through planned maintenance, diagnosing it when something goes wrong, and overhauling it when the running hours demand it. What ties that together is that we do it with our own people. The engineer who arrives on board is ours, trained to our procedures, backed by our own workshop and parts organisation.
Four things we do not compromise on
- Safety – no job is worth an incident. Work stops when conditions are not right, and we say so.
- Quality – measurements recorded, tolerances respected, engine builder data followed. The service report shows what we actually found.
- Flexibility – scopes change once a unit is opened up. We are staffed and equipped to absorb that without renegotiating from scratch.
- Customer focus – one contact, and straight answers about what is achievable and what is not.
Engineers who have done it before
Marine engine work is learned on running machinery. Our service engineers bring hands-on experience from merchant shipping, offshore, naval and industrial installations, and most have sailed or worked in a yard themselves. That background is what allows a diagnosis to be made in hours rather than days. Every engineer works to documented procedures and reports in a consistent format, so a fleet manager can compare one visit with the next.
